Clive, Ifrit's Dominant Ben Starr's performance as Clive was one of the best parts of Final Fantasy XVI, and his MTG counterpart captures his essence well
On the front side, -1/-1 is enough to kill the formats smaller utility creatures or be used as a combat trick, and creatures die often enough that the Morbid ability shouldnt be too hard to trigger and give you a premium removal spell
It taps for mana like normal, but you can also load it with a charge counter and then unleash a the stored-up mana on your next main phase

You have to sacrifice the creature you cast, but thats a part of the beauty
Once you reach the phase of the game where you can afford to do multiple things per turn, you need card draw to ensure you keep having things to do (Circle of Power, Fight On!, Travel the Overworld) or at least cards which can be used multiple times (flashback spells, Ring of the Lucii, Shambling Cieth, Relentless X-ATM092)
