Hercules, Divine Hero would have fit the Resist theme really well, and theres already a nice cheap Hercules in here, so I guess thats another obvious upgrade

You could make the argument that MTG cards are so expensive today because they have always been rare

But answering the deck was a heavy burden: it required instant-speed answers, often multiple since the tricks have flashback and SM99 can always be recast, plus blue always has an answer

So, dont forget to consider colorless card draw in your deck

I think this is a lackluster commander, but the fact that its still better than about 20 other commanders on the list speaks to the power level of many of these uncommon legendary creatures
