Some of the most valuable cards from the HeartGold & SoulSilver era have been flying under the radar as other eras command attention, but prices are rising all the same

Sword/Shield sets are legal until 2025, whereas Scarlet/Violet sets will be legal for even longer

Back during this era, rotation would always happen after Worlds (then switched to right before Worlds, then switched to mid-season)

There are also some nice cards that take advantage of the multiplayer format, but not loaded up in a way that makes everything seem overpowered

If it wasnt for the remakes of these games, Id say theyre still worth a play, even if the black-and-white graphics and absence of some of the deeper systems like split Physical/Special Attack missing can make them hard to go back to
